CONSISTENCY
: The person should be consistent in enforcing discipline, if application is not consistence, the aim is therefore defeat
RELEVANT
All forms of disciplinary action must be relevant to the behavior.
REASON
The person must know why he/she is punished.
IMMEDIATE ACTION
Whenever a branch of indiscipline takes place it must be dealt with immediately, delay in action destroys the effectiveness of the offense.
FAIRNESS
In enforcing discipline one must be guided by the principle of justice and fairness, punishment must not be fair but must be seen to be fair and the punishment must fit the offense. If punishment is not commence rate with the offense it becomes useless.
